Below are the procedures for delivering contracts from the jump freight queue. Please note that all JF Pilots are expected to have their own jump freighter and at least one cyno. All JF Pilots must join the "PushJF" mailing list. All important jump freight announcements for JF Pilots will be sent via this mailing list.

Procedures

  1. Try to take the oldest JF contract in the queue first.
    • JF rush contracts are always higher priority than normal rush contracts.
    • If you see a high sec contract that you can complete while doing a JF contract it is alright to accept and deliver the high sec contract as well.
    • Because of the time it takes to deliver JF contracts, coordinate with the other JF Pilots and take the JF contracts nearest to you if other JF Pilots are on.
    • If you are setting up for a JF contract, but cannot accept it immediately, use the PushJF mailing list to send a message to the other JF Pilots communicating your intention to complete the JF contract, so that other JF Pilots do not take it.
  2. Read the description of the JF contract before accepting it.
  3. DO NOT send an ETA mail to the customer. This presents a security risk for the jump freighter.
  4. Avoid using the autopilot while carrying JF contracts through high sec.
  5. DO NOT use the stargates in low or null sec systems to deliver JF contracts.
  6. Check the Push Internal MOTD and PushX MOTD for any announcements regarding the jump freight service.
  7. Upon delivering the package send a delivery mail using the evemail generator to the customer.

Special Cases

  1. Split JF Contracts: Customers are allowed to break a single JF contract up into several sub-JF contracts if the number of item stacks in the contract exceeds EVE Online's item stack limit for contracts. The total combined volume of these sub-JF contracts cannot total more than the 337,500 m3 limit for jump freight couriers. These sub-JF contracts will be identified by 1/3, 2/3, 3/3, etc. in the contract description. Since the JF contract is split into several sub-JF contracts the reward and collateral will be spread across all the sub-JF contracts. These sub-JF contracts are meant and designed to be delivered together, not separately, so DO NOT take 1/2 of a JF contract while leaving 2/2 behind for another JF Pilot to complete.

  2. Containers (Low Sec): Push Industries discourages the use of containers in JF contracts and asks customers to avoid them when possible, but we do allow customers to place containers in low sec JF contracts for several reasons: 1) when the number of item stacks is very high (200+) but the volume is low, 2) for allowing customers to organize a large number of items, and 3) to separate items from their own in the JF contract that might belong to a 3rd party. We require that customers identify when containers are present in a low sec JF contract by saying so in the contract description. However, this does not always happen and the only way for JF Pilots to identify contracts with containers is after they have already accepted them. In the case where a JF Pilot accepts a JF contract with a container that freight package will have to be directly traded between the contractor and the hauler at the pick up station and again at the destination station. A JF CONTRACT CONTAINING A CONTAINER CANNOT BE RE-CONTRACTED. This means that the contractor and the hauler must be on different accounts to be logged in simultaneously to perform the trade.

  3. Containers (Null Sec): Containers are generally not allowed in null sec JF contracts. It is often too difficult for a contractor to reach these dangerous and remote locations. An alternative to using containers in null sec JF contracts is to split the JF contract into several sub-JF contacts. JF Pilots are also allowed to make arrangements with the customer to pick up and deliver a null sec JF contract containing containers as long as the JF Pilot making the arrangements with the customer is the one who actually completes the JF contract.

Wrongly Priced Contracts

A wrongly priced JF contract is a contract with a reward below the normal price, or just below the rush price while still being significantly higher than the normal price. If you find a wrongly priced JF contract, do not accept it. Instead first try to convo the customer and notify them that the contract is wrong and that they need to fix the reward. DO NOT allow them to simply send the corporation the difference. However, it is allowed if they want to send you the difference and you are willing to complete that JF contract immediately. If they are not online you need to notify a Senior Pusher or Push Executive immediately.

  • Split JF contracts are not considered to be wrongly priced as long as all the rewards among the sub-JF contracts add to the correct reward.

Customer Service

As a JF Pilot you are specifically responsible for monitoring the PushX channel for and answering questions about the jump freight service.

Tips

  • Having 2 cynos on different accounts will make completing JF contracts much faster.
  • When lighting a cyno have your jump freighter out in space already so that you can jump to your cyno immediately. This will reduce the chances of your cyno being destroyed while you are jumping, which will cause your jump freighter to land at a random spot in the system and with a velocity that will take minutes to slow down from.
  • Never warp from one station to another in the same null sec system. There could be interdiction bubbles near your destination station.
  • Always carry extra jump fuel to resupply your jump freighter and extra cyno fuel and cyno generators to resupply your cynos in your jump freighter. This will save you time if your route takes more fuel than you expected or if your cyno(s) get destroyed.
  • Also have your cyno move their clone to a station near where they will be cynoing incase they get destroyed so they won't have to fly all the way back.
