Sometimes Push Industries receives contracts with the wrong durations and/or reward. The most common mistake when customers incorrectly calculate the proper reward for the volume and collateral they setup the contract with. [[The_Queue|The Queue]] will show the reward as "Error" with a red background for contracts that have the incorrect reward. A contract with the wrong reward has a reward below the normal price, or just below the rush price while still being significantly higher than the normal price.
Only Senior Pushers, PushX Managers, and PushX Executives are authorized to reject a contract in any circumstance.  


If you spot an erroneous contract first try to convo the customer (issuer). If you can convo the customer describe why their contract is incorrect and provide them with a quote using the [[Quoter|Quoter]] to help them remake the contract correctly. DO NOT allow them to send the difference to the corporation. However, it is allowed if they want to send you the difference and you are willing to complete that contract immediately.  
If you believe you see an erroneous contract, notify the PushX Senior team so they can review the contract and handle the error.

Best way to avoid a scam contract is first to trust your gut. If something looks off, ask a few others in Internal for help. If they agree that it looks like a scam, notify a Push Executive immediately. Some flags that may signal a scam contract may be:

Though not inclusive, these are just a few of the things you can watch out for to avoid scam contracts. Remember the only way for a scam contract to succeed is for the contract to be failed. If you notice somebody in low sec or null sec being extremely needy about having their contract delivered immediately, there is a good chance they're hoping to score a jump freighter kill. Remember, talk with others in Push to get a feel for whether something is a scam or just a wild hair. It's okay to be safe.
In some cases, such as a brand new Rush contract, it may be appropriate to also send the client a conversation request notify them of the situation.


== Under or Over Collateral Contracts ==
Usually, it is a mistake and the customer cooperates.


After accepting a Contract that has Collateral over 1 billion and you notice it is either Under or Over valued for Collateral, you cannot Reject it.  First, determine how far off it is from the actual value using a tool like Eve Appraisal.  If it is off by more than 50% either way, you should contact the customer.  When a Contract is over collateral, it can be suspicious and may be a gank contract setting you up to be killed for the collateral.  If it is under Collateral, then chances are they are not paying enough reward as they should be.
If you need assistance with this process, or the client is uncooperative, speak to a PushX Senior, Manager, or Executive for assistance.


Contact the customer and inform them of their mistake.  Make sure you link the Contract, link the Quoter with the appropriate info filled out, and link Eve Appraisal with the items listed so they can see the approximate value.

Over Collateral:
Contracts to PushX that are highly over collateralized to PushX are usually a mistake.


Propose that you sell back the contract for the collateral you paid and let them remake the contract if it's over Collateral.
PushX rarely gets gank contracts as it is much more work for the gankers than using a public hauler.


Under Collateral:
If you feel the contract is too dangerous to complete, consult with a PushX Senior, Manager, or Executive and ask if it would be appropriate to contact the customer and arrange to contract the package back and have them resubmit the contract with the correct collateral (which will also lower the price for the client).


Propose that they can either pay you the difference in reward amount for the correct Collateral or buy the contract back for the Collateral amount.
If you feel you can complete the contract, you may do so.

Scam Contracts

Scam contracts are contracts that are made with the intention of forcing the hauler to fail the contract.

  • The contractor's completed public contract history is full of previous scam contracts or attempts

  • The contractor talks non-stop in PushX
  • The online contractor never responds to Evemails or convo requests

Remember, the only way for a scam contract to succeed is for the contract to be failed. Operating within PushX guidelines and utilized PIR makes it extremely unlikely that an attempted scam contract will be successful.

Contracts With Incorrect Collateral

Under Collateral

An Under Collateral contract is a contract where the value of the freight is higher than the collateral of the contract.

There are two types of Under Collateral Contracts:

  • Under Collateral - Dangerous - When the value of the freight is too high for the service type making the contract too dangerous.
    • Example 1: A contract larger than 360,000 m3 (freighter-sized) with a value of 4b isk would be classed as "Under Collateral - Dangerous".

  2. Open the correct mail template in dropdown menu found on the incorrect contract in PIR.
  3. Fill in the mail template.
  4. Create an item exchange contract returning the courier plastic wrap to the client for the price of the collateral with a 3 day expiration
  5. Link the item exchange contract in the indicated place in the mail
  6. Send the mail and fail the incorrect courier contract.
  7. Report your failed contract in Discord in #internal by typing /fail and filling in the contract ID# and Janice link.

In some cases, such as a brand new Rush contract, it may be appropriate to also send the client a conversation request notify them of the situation.
